Restaurant & bar

Lunch or dinner at Le Saint-James means sitting down to a table in the heart of nature. Surrounded by greenery and vines. Architect Jean Nouvel designed the dining room to resemble a terraced garden that delicately, yet flawlessly, hugs the slope. In the kitchens is Nicolas Magie, affecting his own culinary wonders. Originally from Cenon, the Aquitaine region is one of his sources of inspiration, as are the ingredients found during each day’s market shopping. Having worked in restaurants as prestigious as the Biarritz Miramar or Le Crillon in Paris – alongside Chef Christian Constant – he serves inventive, creative cuisine that never strays too far from the great classics, while artfully asserting his own style, one that is memorable to both soul and palate.

The restaurant is open Tuesday evening through Saturday evening.
Nicolas Magie's other table

Every evening at 7:30 pm, from Tuesday to Saturday, the starred chef of The Saint James leaves his kitchen to do a preview tasting of his new creations. This test dinner takes place in a room next to Nicolas Magie's kitchen. The table can be reserved for from one person up to eight guests. On the menu: 6 to 7 dishes inspired by products from the market, prepared in mini portions and matched with a selection of wines, all served by the Chef and his team.

“It's a bit like having dinner in the kitchen, as close as possible to the oven," explains Nicolas Magie.
With this unique table and the experience that accompanies it, he wishes to weave a privileged bond, to create a complicity and establish a dialogue with the individual clientele of The Saint James. In such a context, the experience is not recommended for people allergic to certain products or types of food.
