Restaurant & bar

Lunch or dinner at Le Saint-James means sitting down to a table in the heart of nature. Surrounded by greenery and vines. Architect Jean Nouvel designed the dining room to resemble a terraced garden that delicately, yet flawlessly, hugs the slope. In the kitchens is Nicolas Magie, affecting his own culinary wonders. Originally from Cenon, the Aquitaine region is one of his sources of inspiration, as are the ingredients found during each day’s market shopping. Having worked in restaurants as prestigious as the Biarritz Miramar or Le Crillon in Paris – alongside Chef Christian Constant – he serves inventive, creative cuisine that never strays too far from the great classics, while artfully asserting his own style, one that is memorable to both soul and palate.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.
The bar at Le Saint-James opens onto a vast terrace, the hotel grounds and a limitless view of Bordeaux. Guests come to get away, reflect, but also to work, meet friends, savour some alone time, enjoy a tête-à-tête or family gathering.

Any time, from breakfast to a nightcap, it is a comforting pleasure to settle into this space dotted with design classics, armchairs, sofas and other furnishings designed by Jean Nouvel, Verner Panton and Charles Eames. In winter, at tea time, home-baked goods (cakes, pies, cannelés and more) tempt you to take a break and relax in the distinctive bar, a charming place of countrified chic.
