Richard Bernard gives you a tour of the Saint-James wine cellar and proposes a selection of wines and Champagnes on sale in the hotel boutique.
Since his arrival in September 2004, the Best Sommelier of France (1997) has been in charge of a cellar with 1,200 positions (in the past there were just 600). He manages the dining room staff and purchases wine for the Group’s three restaurants (Le Saint-James, Le Bistrot Côté Cour and Le Café de l’Espérance).
The wine list of the Saint-James enables you to visit first of all Burgundy, then the Valley of the Rhone, Provence and Corsica, Languedoc, Roussillon, the vineyards of the South-West, Alsace, the Valley of the Loire and finally the Bordeaux vineyards representing 50% of the available selection.
Richard Bernard explains that he decided to journey through French vineyards in this way to allow local guests to discover other regions. A wonderful selection which secured him the accolade of Best Sommelier in 2006 presented by the Gault-Millau magazine.
The Saint James philosophy is about advising you on your choice of wines to enable you to enjoy our sommeliers’ favourites in your own home.
